Cooling of assemblies and components with Ansys CFD

Overview of typical flow simulation possibilities for heat transfer problems with ANSYS CFD.

Webinar

Details

Whether, for example, you’re dealing with electric or combustion engines, batteries, tools, power electronics or casting and other thermal manufacturing processes, temperatures must be reduced everywhere by taking suitable measures. The installation situation of the components to be cooled must also be taken into account in this regard. The simulation of turbulent flows and heat transfer problems with ANSYS CFD can contribute considerably. Specific examples are used to show how typical components used for cooling purposes, such as fans, heat sinks, radiators or cooling lines, can be represented and simulated together with the component to be cooled. Typical problems are explained and the implementation in the software is demonstrated using examples. Specific application examples shown include thermal management for an electric charging station, convective cooling of a (cast) workpiece and transient heating and cooling behavior. The webinar is rounded off with a short overview of the function of flow simulation (computational fluid dynamics, CFD for short) and the available ANSYS CFD tools
