Details

Nowadays, the design process of an electrical motor has several layers of complexity. The pure electromagnetic view is simply not sufficient, because thermal and mechanical constraints have to be considered.
Additionally, designs with optimized efficiency and production costs are necessary to compete in the steadily growing market.
This webinar will give a brief overview of the possibilities and then focus on the early design phase.

All algorithms used in optimization need to run computations in every iteration.
Even though there are very fast methods, like lumped circuit models or reduced models, which can be used for electrical motor simulation, there is a huge potential for time saving.
The coupling of ANSYS optiSLang with ANSYS Motor-CAD allows to create an efficient workflow for an multiphysical optimization during the concept phase of the development, including costs and driving cycles.

Agenda

  • Introduction into the ANSYS Electric Machine Design Platform
  • Focus I: Fast methods of simulation during the early design phase.
  • Focus II: ANSYS optiSLang – more than just optimization.
  • A quick glimpse into the methods used during the deep analysis phase and system level simulation

Target Group

The targeted audience of this webinar are engineers with focus on electric machine design, who seek for efficient simulation methods. But everyone who aspires to gain knowledge in machine design and optimization is welcome to attend.

Benefits

This webinar will give a brief overview of the available tools for the design phase, the deep analysis phase and the system level simulation of an electrical machine. The focus will be set on the multiphysical simulation in the early design phase and the optimization workflow during that phase.

After this webinar you will be able to grasp which methods should be used to achieve best results during each stage of development, and what tools feature those methods.
