Every developer of electric drives knows, that electromagnetic simulation alone is not sufficient to bring a peak product on the market. Only after multiphysical analysis connections can be understood and used in the early design stage. Typical applications are the computation of NVH effects, caused by electromagnetic forces, and the analysis of temperature distribution based on loss results. Another important subject is the coupling of FEM solvers, like Motor-CAD, with the optimization software optiSLang for a goal oriented multiphysical design process.
