Rolling Bearing inside Ansys

Efficient integration of rolling bearings in Ansys Mechanical

Structural mechanics

The CADFEM Ansys Extension for effective integration of rolling bearings and mapping of real bearing stiffness behavior in Ansys Mechanical models

The stiffness conditions inside ball bearings and other types of rolling bearings influence the overall deformation behavior of surrounding assemblies. Depending on the load scenario, the individual rolling elements are subject to different contact behavior towards the bearing shells. An exact representation of these geometric conditions is associated with considerable numerical effort. Rolling Bearing inside Ansys enables the installation of rolling bearings in FE overall assemblies with only a few manual steps while simultaneously taking the non-linear force flow into account. By means of simple user guidance and existing validated substitute modelling of the non-linear rolling element contact, different rolling bearings can be easily and efficiently integrated into the model.
