Flow simulation in mechanical and plant engineering

Overview of typical flow simulation possibilities with ANSYS CFD in the product development process.

Webinar

Details

It begins with a quick introduction to the function of flow simulation (computational fluid dynamics, CFD for short) and an overview of the available ANSYS CFD tools. Typical problems are explained and the implementation in the software is demonstrated using examples. In particular, it explores how the ANSYS product range provides the right tools for designers, engineers and simulation experts for each phase of the development process when it comes to CFD. The sample application shown include the calculation of a valve with cavitation when closing, the simulation of a fitting with multiphase flow and the representation of fluid structure coupling in a flow meter.
