RF Simulation with Ansys HFSS
In this course you will learn how to perform radio frequency 3D-Electomagnetic simulation with Ansys HFSS. This training is offered as a 2-day course or alternatively as a self-paced eLearning course.
Duration
2 days

Software used
Ansys HFSS
- Practical tips and tricks regarding HFSS
- Creation and interpretation of S-Parameters and far field reports
- Creation and interpretation of EM field plots
- RF optimization: Matching and placement
Description
Over the recent years, data rates in wireless systems are becoming higher, devices are becoming smaller and time to market is becoming shorter. This sets very stringent requirements on R&D engineers. These requirements can be only met with the early use of a reliable 3D EM simulation tool such as Ansys HFSS. The industry golden standard. Using practical examples, we will teach all you need for a successful simulation of your product: CAD import, meshing, numerical techniques as well as the most efficient workflows.
This course lets you understand the EM behaviour of your product at a very early development stage. With this knowledge, you can optimize the performance and see if you meet specs, hence avoiding costly reworks and waste of time.
This course targets R&D engineers who develop antennas, connectors, transmission lines or any other RF component. Also, as a test engineer who wants to simulate the parasitic effects of EM fields (EMC) before physical testing so that your products pass the appropriate norms, this training is ideal for you.
