The new transient A-Phi solver in Ansys Maxwell opens up new possibilities for examining busbars, converter boards and other components from power electronics. Furthermore, the functions for simulating machines, transformers, actuators, etc. have been expanded and improved.
In Ansys HFSS, the new Phi Plus technology speeds up meshing for 3D IC packages, especially with wire bonds. The SBR+ solver now considers dielectric structures like radome, etc.
With Ansys Icepak, it is now possible to couple Joule heating analyses directly to the thermal simulation. The generation of Reduced Order Models has been simplified and the processing of MCAD geometry has significantly accelerated.
Ansys SIwave is now able to use temperature-dependent materials in AC simulations. Additionally, the new SI Xplorer utility helps PCB designers to define stack-up and optimize via transitions.
