Details
Industrial processes involving highly viscous liquids are complex and challenging. Conventional agitation systems for mixing vessels are optimized for certain viscosity ranges and have disadvantages in other areas. It is necessary to effectively design and scale agitators for such demanding mixing tasks.
Benefits
This presentation will demonstrate the use of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to aid in the design of agitators, based on an understanding of power consumption, mixing time, flow patterns, and shear stress characteristics.
Target Group
- Users
- Decision makers
- Generally interested persons
