Details

The acoustic analysis of an electric motor is a demanding, multi-physics task. In this webinar, we present three methods for acoustic calculations of different complexity and compare them in detail: the semi-analytical workflow with Motor-CAD, the harmonic workflow coupling the Maxwell and Mechanical programs, and the transient workflow at the system simulation level.

Benefits

We compare workflows in terms of results and scope. Learn why the semi-analytical workflow is suitable for early design phase and parameter studies, how the harmonic workflow provides accurate steady-state results, and how the transient workflow enables simulation of drive/load cycles and the influence of the converter on the acoustics.

Target Group

  • Users
  • Decision makers
  • Generally interested
  • Designer engineers

Agenda

  • Detailed presentations on each workflow: Semi-analytical workflow, harmonic workflow, transient workflow.
  • Comparison of the three workflows with regard to results and scope of application
