FKM assessment with FKM NL inside Ansys

The webinar gives a short overview of the guideline and the performance of verifications with "FKM NL inside Ansys".

Webinar

Details

The FKM guideline Nonlinear "Computational strength verification for machine components with explicit consideration of non-linear material behavior " is a verification procedure developed by the Forschungskuratorium Maschinenbau (FKM) for various applications in mechanical engineering and other industries. With FKM NL inside Ansys the local strength verification within Ansys Mechanical is supported, also in the form of parameter studies in case of material change or alternative surface treatment. FKM inside Ansys can also be used to verify welded joints on the basis of volume and shell elements. The webinar includes a short overview of the guideline and the handling of the software.

Agenda

  • Overview of the guideline FKM Non-linear
    • Motivation and concept of the static and cyclic proof
    • Differentiation from the FKM guideline Linear
  • Application of FKM NL inside Ansys
    • Live demonstration of the static strength verification of non-welded components
    • Live demonstration of the cyclic strength verification of non-welded components
  • Discussion
