Computer-aided simulations have long been an integral part of product development. They enable the quick analysis of many variants and thus reduce the number of expensive and time-consuming prototypes. Numerous programs for a wide range of applications have therefore become established over the years. However, with new possibilities comes an increase in the complexity of the development process itself, as the interaction of various CAE tools is not guaranteed.

In this presentation, the process integration of CAE workflows with Ansys optiSLang is presented using a practical example. How different tools and solvers can be coupled in a tool chain in order to represent a multi-stage development process will be demonstrated. Not only can this be used not as a basis for automating CAE processes, but also as a basis for multidisciplinary parameter studies and optimizations.
