TU-Dresden wide test phase for Ansys Granta

CADFEM and Ansys offer TU Dresden the opportunity to test the application of Ansys Granta in research and teaching from October 1, 2023 to March 31, 2024. The test period includes an introductory webinar, personal contact persons during the 6-month phase, and a Q&A session in January as well as at the end of the test period.

Ansys Granta at a glance

Ansys Granta offers an unmatched combination of database for materials and processes and the evaluation, analysis and comparison of the data. Ansys Granta Selector is the standard tool for material selection in industry and research. Ansys Granta EduPack has been developed specifically for education. Both are based on the same concept and have the same user interface.

Students who have already become acquainted with Ansys Granta EduPack during their studies are ideally prepared for integrating their materials knowledge into advanced projects. In addition to basic knowledge about materials, their properties and interrelationships with processes, the integration of topics such as sustainability, lightweight construction and materials as an integral part of the product development process are taught.

Key advantages

  • Make the right choice for materials right from the early stages of product development - avoid unnecessary costs and delays
  • "Wizard" for material selection - apply a systematic methodology for selection.
  • Material substitution tools - search for similar materials and make comparisons with reference materials and favorites.
  • Performance Index Search and Engineering Solver - define your engineering application in fast forward.
  • Eco Audit - retrieve an estimate of the environmental impact of a product or design.
  • Synthesizer Tool - Model hybrid materials and component costs.
  • FE Exporter - Retrieve data you can use for simulations.
  • You can obtain the test licenses directly from the Computing Center of TU Dresden via the software order form, specifying your cost center and IP address.
