CADFEM Ansys Simulation Conference 2023
The event took place on Sept. 14th 2023, on-site at EPFL
A unique event on simulation in Romandie
The Simulation Conference 2023 Lausanne was the convivial event that gathered more than 120 engineers from all the Swiss industry. During the conference, attendees heard presentations of real development projects made by engineers from the industrial world.
The audience elected M. Yannick Schlaeppi (Liebherr Machines Bulle SA) as the best speaker of the Forum 2023. He received the CADFEM Trophy on which he will add on it a piece reprensenting his work on thermomechanical. The second best paper elected was M. Adane (SKF Group) who used the CADFEM module for Bolt Assessment Inside Ansys. And the third awarded was M. Vincent Calabrese (Hora Nova) who gave us an insight on his Calasys (an alternative to spiral springs).
CADFEM (Suisse) AG has taken the initiative of limiting the greenhouse gas emissions generated by the Simulation Conference 2023 by partially offsetting them using technologies developed by the company Climeworks. To do this, we are carrying out an approximate assessment of the emissions using the tools available in Ansys Granta: travel, energy consumption of the buildings occupied during the event.
The results of this study will soon be posted on this page. In the meantime, please visit "Material and Energy Efficiency" solutions that CADFEM propose for product development with simulation.
CO2 compensation
CADFEM (Suisse) AG has taken the initiative of limiting the greenhouse gas emissions generated by the Simulation Conference 2023 by partially offsetting them using technologies developed by the company Climeworks. To do this, we carried out an approximate assessment of the emissions using the tools available in Ansys Granta: travel, energy consumption of the buildings occupied during the event. The results of this small study is presented hereafter. The attendees mainly used their cars and the amount of CO2 emitted reaches 1 800 kg.
