In complex kinematic systems, a simulation of the motion behavior is useful as early as the development phase in order to check the kinematics and to determine the forces and moments required for the movement. The outlined task is solved with the aid of ANSYS as part of a multibody simulation (MBS). Several bodies of a kinematic system are hinged together and considered either as a rigid body or as a flexible body. The main advantage of a multibody simulation approach is that nonlinear transient tasks can be solved within a very short space of time.
Toolkits optimised for special fields of application enable, for example, the acoustic simulation of gears, NVH investigations on chain and belt drives or the coupling of multi-body systems to system simulation tools such as Ansys Twin Builder or Matlab / Simulink.
This webinar is targeted at calculation engineers who design gears and gearing, analyse NVH behaviour, perform co-simulations with mechanical systems or calculate the service life of components.
It does not matter whether you have already gained experience in the field of multi-body simulation or are a beginner, whether you simulate with ANSYS products or other tools like Simpack, RecurDyn and ADAMS. This webinar provides a profound overview of ANSYS Motion, the new powerful ANSYS solution in the field of multi-body simulation.
You will gain valuable insights into how multi-body (MBS) simulation helps you to map complex motion sequences in order to assess a construction. You will see how bearing loads or required drive torques can be calculated easily and in the shortest time. You will also learn how to overcome design deficits and uncovering kinematic constraints in order to arrive at a functional design. In doing so, you leave the basic assumptions of rigid bodies behind and instead take into account flexible and therefore oscillating bodies.
