Description
Do you work with simulation technology in an international environment, for example for foreign customers or in international development projects? Then your simulation activities require compliance with export control and embargo restrictions (“trade compliance”). Non-compliance can result in considerable fines and criminal consequences for violators, responsible parties, and companies, but can also immensely damage one’s reputation and business relationships.
Export control is relevant for all business activities involving military goods (defense or dual use) and/or sensitive uses (NBC weapons, missiles and civil nuclear). Currently, there is also a special focus on the highly complex embargo concerning Russia. In connection with simulation, export control and embargo restrictions can always intervene if simulation software and/or simulation technology (results, technical documentation, explanations, etc.) are transferred abroad or made available for access from abroad. Furthermore, technical services with a foreign connection are also subject to the rules of export control and embargoes. In the training, you will receive an explanation of export control and embargo law aspects of simulation activities in the international environment (according to German, EU, and US law). Practical examples will be presented. For simulation engineers, members of management and export control officers.
