Description
Computational engineers bear a great deal of responsibility: unreliable products result in costly recalls, warranty services, and legal proceedings. In addition to long-term damage to the company’s image, serious financial consequences can result as well. In 2017, VW paid 1.2 billion dollars in the US alone, and other manufacturers are faced with, or in the middle of, similar cases. Moreover, employed engineers have received multi-year prison sentences.
In this training, you will learn about the legal aspects of your work as an engineer in easily understandable language. After the training, you will know how to minimize and cover risks. Furthermore, we will work on understanding the difference between key terms such as “Commercial letter of confirmation”, “Order description”, and “GTCs”. You will also understand when a contract is concluded and know the importance of claim management for the implementation of projects. We will work with case studies and invite you to bring your own questions for discussion.
This training is essential for all engineers actively working in product development. In addition, the training is aimed at employees who deal with contracts relating to calculation services.
