What is the CADFEM Conference ?
It is a simulation conference that gathers a hundred of engineers from all the Swiss industry. During this convivial event, attendees hear presentations of real development projects made by engineers from the industrial world. The conference ends with an apero, perfect for networking and chatting freely with other Ansys users and CADFEM engineers.
Last year, the audience elected M. Yannick Schlaeppi (Liebherr Machines Bulle SA) as the best speaker of the Forum 2023. He received the CADFEM Trophy on which he will add on it a piece reprensenting his work on thermomechanical.

Location
Starling Hotel Lausanne is located beside the EPFL campus, 10 minutes away from Lausanne and Morges and a few steps away from the Rolex Center and the SwissTech Convention Center.
Metro
- Take metro line m1 from the Lausanne-Flon or Vigie stop.
- Travel in the direction of Renens-Gare.
- Get off at UNIL-Sorge or EPFL.
- Walk through EPFL towards Saint-Sulpice
Bus
Line 701, 1: Get off at "Parc Scient."
Car
Take the A1 motorway in the direction of Lausanne-Sud, and get off at the EPFL-Ecublens exit.

Parking starling Hotel: located under the Hotel. Very limited parking places.
EPFL East parking: Recommended. Located under the EPFL Rolex Learning Center. Access from the Route Cantonale. Use the white spaces. Payment : Coins or Twint. Approximately 12 CHF for the duration of the Forum. (7 min walk to Starling Hotel; use under-track crosswalk)
Parking Esplanade: located under the EPFL Esplanade. Charging for electric vehicles (7 min walk to Starling Hotel). Payment by coins only. Approximately 12 CHF for the duration of the event. Free from 17:00.
Parking SwissTech Convention Center: located under the Swiss Convention Center. 1600 m from the Starling Hotel (15 mins walk). Payment by credit card possible. CHF 30 per day.

No hand-outs or documents are going to be provided during the Forum. You will be able to retrieve the presentations of the event, with no disclosure restriction, on the website after the Forum.
