Plastically deformed and yet reliable
The FKM Nonlinear Guideline of 2019 is an optional extension of the well-known FKM Guideline, that can also be used independently.
This allows us to verify structures that exhibit plastic strain. In this way, we can use our components more efficiently while still demonstrating compliance with the guideline.
Individual verifications can be carried out alternatively as well as in combination with the verifications of the FKM guideline. Thus, we can perform the static verification according to FKM nonlinear and the cyclic verification according to the usual FKM guideline. The reverse combination would also be allowed. This allows us to basically use the best of both worlds.

Details
This webinar will give you an overview of the FKM Nonlinear Guideline. The static verification can be broken down into the following steps:
- From material measurement to the design curve
- Calculation with plastic strains
- Evaluation of the load up to the limit condition.
Zyklisch kann auf Basis von Zeitreihen einen Nachweis nach dem lokalen Konzept von Manson Coffin führen
- Verification based on time series
- Taking the effect of the series into account
- Calculation of material data from static characteristic values
- Estimation of plastic strains according to Neuber
- Evaluation according to the local concept from Low Cycle Fatigue to fatigue strength.
Benefits
By participating in this training, you will get an overview of the FKM nonlinear guideline and its integrated solution in Ansys Workbench.
This webinar will show the procedure for a static verification of plastically calculated structures and how to create a cyclic verification using the local concept with FKM NL inside Ansys.
