Students of engineering and physical sciences learn with professional 3D tools and real-time simulation.
Ansys ACADEMIC SIMULATION SOFTWARE
From School to University
Instructors have to convey scientific knowledge and practical skills for the occupations of the future in equal measure. Using modern Ansys simulation tools, you can direct the focus of teaching to imparting skills such as understanding modeling or evaluating results.
Customized Packages for any educational institution
There are Ansys products for teaching as well. Configured for suitable exercises, you can use all functionalities of the tool in the classroom. What would you like to do? Visualize physics in the classroom? Supplement your FEM internship with practical tutorials? The choice is yours – and you’ll receive appropriate exercise materials in the CADFEM instructor workshop.
The comprehensive bundle of Ansys licenses for academic customers
CFD (Fluent and CFX), structural mechanics simulation (Ansys Mechanical), electromagnetic simulation (Ansys Maxwell) and high-frequency simulation (Ansys HFSS) – all products are included. Also included are components for pre- and post-processing, topology optimization and system simulation.
- Domains of different physics are included
- Solve complex physics with coupled multiphysics simulation
- 10x: each Research license comes with 10 Teaching licenses

Frequently asked questions on Ansys ACADEMIC SOFTWARE for teaching
Below you will find relevant information and assistance that is frequently requested. Do you have any further questions, suggestions or requests? Then feel free to contact us.
Yes, the licenses for teaching do indeed have a limit on the number of nodes or elements. The limit was set at a level so that no restrictions occur for regular exercise activities. At the same time, schools and universities of applied sciences benefit from superb value for money.
The standard scenario at many universities is the PC pool, which is opened to students for self-study as well. Some universities offer their students the option of working via a VPN. If that is not possible at your university, we recommend that students install the free Ansys Student version for homework and self-study.
For use in the context of student final theses, the limits would pose too much of an obstacle. A Research license would generally be the first choice in such a case.
Simulation is important to CADFEM, so to enable you to invest as much time as possible in educating your students, we support you with instructor workshops and other attractive advisory and training options in the area of teaching.
With the Ansys Multiphysics Campus license, your university can use an agreed number of Research licenses as well as 10 times the number of Teaching licenses for teaching. So you and your students can use the complete Ansys software portfolio.
The right solutions for your simulation projects
Simulation is everywhere and affects every industry. Since simulation requires more than software, CADFEM offers everything you need for successful simulation from a single source: software and IT solutions, consulting, support, engineering and knowledge sharing – always on the cutting edge.
