ABSTRACT
Many industrial processes involve the use of particle-laden flows. These processes can range from transporting bulk material, classifying or drying the particles, to reacting them.
In this webinar, we will address such simulations using the Discrete Element Method (DEM) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). The simultaneous flow of fluids and particles is common in many processes across multiple industries. The coupled DEM-CFD approach is an alternative for modeling these systems, since it captures the discrete nature of the particle phase while maintaining computational tractability. In this webinar, you will see how to expand DEM-CFD coupling capabilities using the new Rocky 2022 R1 release.
Rocky-DEM and ANSYS Fluent are the ultimate tools used together to simulate these methods that can be applied to many industrial applications to improve and optimise processes.
